Ciudad universitaria

Universidad de La Laguna. Edificio Central. En la misma avenida Trinidad se sitúa el edificio central de la Universidad de La Laguna, actual Facultad de Educación. Éste edificio se remonta a 1935, en el que se adjudicaron las obras, las que se vieron inmersas en retrasos debido a la Guerra Civil y por el nuevo régimen político instaurado. Fue en el año 1960, cuando quedó inaugurado el edificio de la Universidad de La Laguna. Con la posterior expansión de los nuevos estudios que se iban implantando, se fueron creando diferentes edificios creando las diferentes Facultades. Actualmente, el edificio alberga los estudios de Pedagogía y Magisterio, siendo éste tambien un punto de referencia para la celebración de diferentes actos en su restaurado Paraninfo. Un lugar que sin duda hay que visitar cuando se está laguneando, por su historia y su interés turístico.

University of La Laguna. Central Building. In the same avenue called "Avenida de la Trinidad" stays the central building of the University of La Laguna, also the current Faculty of Education. This building dates back from 1935, its construction was stopped and delayed several times due to the Civil War and the new political regime establishment. It was in 1960 when the building was inaugurated as the University of La Laguna. With the subsequent expansion of new studies implementations, new different buildings were created, which are the faculties. Currently, the building houses the studies of Education and Teaching, and it's also a reference point for the celebration of various events in its restored auditorium. A place you definitely have to visit, when you are walking around La Laguna, it´s full of history and attractions.
